ECCLES-BASED andante chamber choir have teamed up with Borders Youth Theatre for a new Shakespeare theatrical project.

Along with Ad-hoc Players, a group of Borders’ actors created for the production, the show was devised by Arthur Parsons, a local writer, and John Stone of andante.

The new collaboration was formed as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Open Stages Project, which has more than 300 Shakespeare-themed productions across the whole of the UK but only two in the Borders.

Smailholm Village Hall hosts the first performance on Sunday, June 17, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, including refreshments, and can be bought from Arthur Parsons on 01890 883552 or Border Youth Theatre on 07773977567. Seating is limited. All proceeds to the Borders Youth Theatre projects.
