Services for sale at charity auction

HAVE a huge amount of ironing every week, or a DIY job you’ve been putting off for months?

If so, Selkirk Parish Church’s auction on May 19 could be the answer. The auction is part of the church’s fund-raising campaign for its renovation project, and follows the launch of the Friends of Selkirk Parish Church last month.

The sale catalogue will include everything from prints and paintings, ornaments and crystal-ware, to furniture and garden equipment as well as some more unusual offerings.

Swimming lessons, gardening and dog-walking, a decorated birthday cake and music composed specially for the winning bidder are among other items up for grabs.

Local auctioneer Billy Stott will be overseeing proceedings, and as the day approaches, the number of items in the catalogue continues to rise.

Items will be available for viewing from 10am on Saturday, May 19, and bidding will commence at noon. Entry is the price of a catalogue, £1.
