Credit where credit is due to the bus driver who took the First 9.50pm service from Galashiels to Earlston last Thursday night.
He stopped to offer assistance to a young female motorist who had presumably skidded on black ice, left the road and driven into a hedge.
Between four of us – the bus driver and three passengers – we were able to get the car back onto the road without further incident and trust that the young lady was able to get home safely.
A fine example of public-spirited service – keep up the good work.
