Record sum fantastic fair result

We would like to thank everyone who supported our record-breaking summer fair held at St Margaret’s RC Primary School in Galashiels on Saturday morning.

There was an excellent turn-out from the local community which helped raised more than £1,100 – our best result and a fantastic achievement for a small school.

We are extremely grateful to Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service for appearing on the day with an appliance, and Peter and Matthew Croan for providing the bouncy castle.

The raffle took what seemed like an eternity to draw due to the amount of prizes donated by parents etc. In addition, we wish to thank Hair Lab, City Electrical Factors, Spice of India, Baguette & Go, Co-op and ex-pupil Danny Galbraith for their kind donations.

It was great to see so many ex-pupils turning up to volunteer to man the various stalls and again we are grateful to them and also the many parents, relatives and friends of the school who gave up their time on the day.

Finally, a big thank you to all the staff and pupils who put in so much hard work to produce items to sell at the stalls.

The school hall was buzzing on Saturday morning and it augurs well for the future.
