EIGHT Earlston men are limbering up to pull a lorry through the town to raise money for charity on Saturday.
The team of Neil Walker, Andrew Reid, Robert Beattie, Keith Veitch, Steven Cockburn, Chris White, Richard Allan and Nick Thorn plan to pull the nine tonne truck from the town’s primary school to the Square at 11am.
The fun starts earlier, at 10am, with a coffee morning in Hanover House, with face painting, cake and candy stalls, as well as ‘find Pudsey’ and ‘guess the birthday’ competitions, bouncy castle and a food vendor in the adjoining car park.
Raffle tickets are on sale at Donaldson’s butcher for £1 a strip. And organisers say Pudsey Bear is expected to visit for the day from Glasgow.
