IT was all the fun of the fayre at St Margaret’s RC Primary in Galashiels at the school’s major annual fund-raiser.
The diamond jubilee-themed summer fayre event raised more than £1,100, with every penny to benefit of the school and the pupils.
A popular attraction was the visit of an appliance from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.
St Margaret’s Parent Council secretary Louise Riddell said: “We were fearing the worst with the torrential rain on the days beforehand and a dismal forecast.
“But a few Friday evening prayers were answered and it stayed dry for the event, allowing our playground attractions to go ahead, which was just as well as the school hall was packed.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.”
