Police are appealing for information to help trace a 64-year-old man reported missing from Galashiels.

Thomas Johnstone was last seen in southeast Galashiels at 10am on Monday (February23) and concern is now growing for his welfare.

Thomas takes regular medication that he does not now have access to.

He is described as white, 6ft 2inches tall, with short grey hair and a beard. He has a muscular build and was last seen wearing blue trousers, a grey/green Karrimor 3/4 length jacket, a black striped polo top and black training shoes.

Inspector Kevin Harris said: “We are eager to establish Thomas’s whereabouts as soon as possible and anyone who believes they have seen him since Monday is asked to come forward.

“In addition, if Thomas hears about this appeal, we would ask that he get in touch with friends, family or police and let us know that he is safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland as soon as possible on 101.
