Picnic had all the right ingredients for both children and organisers

A great day was had by all who attended the teddy bears’ picnic at The Haining, Selkirk, on Sunday.

With a bouncy castle, face-painting, arts and crafts, Peter Pepper’s Magic Show and storytelling by John Nichol – which included a surprise bear hunt – there was plenty to keep the children entertained.

Thanks to Forest Book Shop for donating book tokens as prizes for the best-dressed bear competition and Standard Bearer Gavin Henderson who had the difficult task of judging.

However, a very special thanks goes out to those who came along and supported the event which was held in aid of the Haining Charitable Trust.

The organisers were delighted about the success of the event and hope to build on this next year.
