LILLIESLEAF Primary School’s Nathaniel Armstrong is the school’s ‘King of the Hill’.

The P7 pupil was the fastest to cycle up The Wynd from the Ale Water Main Street in a competition which the school held to celebrate BikeWeek last week

Teacher Kyra Tweddle said: “Lots of children took part and enjoyed the challenge of pedalling all the way up, particularly on the last hilly section.”

King of the Hill Nathaniel, below, completed the challenge 34.8 seconds, Calum Arnott (P6) was second in 35.0 seconds and Sebastian MacKay (P4) was third on 39 seconds. Callum MacDonald was P5 King of the Hill, completing the challenge in 40 secs and Queen of the Hill was Abby Forster (P7) in 37.6 seconds.
