SEARCH teams from the Borders were called in last week to search for a man missing from his home in Haddington.
The body of Gerry Collin was discovered early on Friday afternoon on the slopes of Rangely Kip Hill on the edge of the village of Garvald.
Searchers combed areas of the Lammermuirs after the 26-year-old’s car was found parked and locked in a country lane near Garvald on Thursday morning.
He was last seen around midday on Wednesday in Haddington’s High Street.
The Borders Search and Rescue Team joined police late on Thursday night, but because of poor conditions and difficult terrain above Nunraw Abbey near Haddington, the search was called off at 4.30am.
It resumed on Friday morning and the search was strengthened by members of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
