I walked along The Cobby riverside walk in Kelso last Friday, following a hike along the Borders Abbeys Way, and was astounded to see the state of this pretty part of the region.
The River Tweed had obviously flooded the area and had, in its wake, left a trail of destruction of old tree branches and stumps, empty bottles and much more.
I believe this area is popular with walkers and wonder who is responsible for clearing up the mess? For locals and visitors, it is a complete eyesore.
Maybe we could have some answers, or more so a tidy-up.
