BUDGET fashion chain Matalan is holding a special fundraising fashion show at its Galashiels outlet later this month.
All proceeds from the event, which runs from 7 till 8pm on Sunday, November 27, will go to the Margaret Kerr Unit appeal which is striving to create a dedicated palliative care facility at the Borders General Hospital.
Last year, staff at the Wilderhaugh store organised a similar event, raising more than £1,500 for the Rowan Boland Memorial Fund which offers financial support to develop young sporting talent in Galashiels.
Models are lined up for a catwalk show of clothes from across the Matalan range, although males wishing to strut their stuff are asked to contact the store’s charity and marketing co-ordinator Vivien Gracie on 01896 662840.
Tickets for the fashion show, priced £3, are currently available in store.
