parents and toddlers have been sharing their new skills as part of Songs Sung All Day Long at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles, writes Kenny Paterson.

The outreach project brings together groups from Broughton, Skirling and Caddonfoot on a regular basis.

Over a period of three months the toddlers learned innovative ways of working together through song with Julie Morrice and music with Michael Haywood.

The children were also taught drama with Mandy Durkin, the outreach co-ordinator, who said: “We wanted to create games and songs that would be useful for parents and which could be developed for use at home or in the playgroup.

“It’s fun to be creative with your children and to see how wonderful their imaginations are.”

Songs Sung All Day Long is the fifth community outreach project by the Eastgate Theatre funded by LEADER.
