A 22-year-old woman has been charged with drug offences following a police raid on a property in Beech Avenue in Galashiels.

The property was searched on Friday (August 29) and officers allegedly recovered quantities of Diamorphine, Methadone and some, as yet, unidentified tablets, as well as other drug paraphernalia.

The woman who lives at the property was subsequently arrested, cautioned and charged, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police Constable Philip Moule of the Community Investigation Unit said: “Police Scotland is committed to keeping people safe and this seizure goes a long way to getting drugs off our streets.

“Anyone who has information about drugs crimes should contact Police Scotland on 101 or, alternatively, phone the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
