A special treat was a private viewing of a selection of Traquair’s archives in the High Gallery.

Archivist Margaret Fox gave a talk about the collection which contains documents covering everything from the daily minutiae of life at Traquair House to the family connection with one of the Founding Fathers of America.

There was some very surprising items, such as the Royal Charter that instituted the Burgh of Glasgow.
