Tweedbank school P7 pupils and teacher Sheona Hedley were in a relaxed mood at the annual leavers’ event which featured a new format.
Parents were in favour of holding the function in the evening and the school hall was packed. The P7 pupils danced, sang, played instruments, recalled their fondest memories and reflected on their primary school years.
Head teacher Alyson Weir said: “ We wanted to create a very special evening for our P7 pupils and their families. The pupils have worked hard and are excellent role models for younger children in school.”
P7 youngster Scott Braithwaite created a powerpoint set to music for his classmates and their families to enjoy.
One parent commented: “The slide show showing all the children’s photographs from P1 to P7 was a nice touch – so was the scroll and memories book”
The evening ended with a barbecue provided by the school’s parent council.
