Renegades team up to take top prize

The Rotary Club of Galashiels held its annual sponsored team golf competition for the New Millennium Quaich Trophy over Torwoodlee Golf Club on May 25.
Unfortunately, this event had to be abandoned mid-afternoon because of torrential rain flooding the course greens.
However, Torwoodlee allowed Rotarians to hold the event again a few weeks later when 20 teams of four took part. About 1,500 was raised on the day for local charities, but the main beneficiary of the cash raised will be Borders General Hospitals childrens ward.
