Police are appealing for information to help trace a missing Borders man.
Barry Davies, 37, was last seen at Teviothead near Hawick late on Monday night.
He has not been seen or heard from since and concern is now growing for his welfare.
Barry is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with a shaved head and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing dark coloured trousers with side pockets, a black biker’s jacket and black gloves, and he was carrying a camouflage rucksack.
Police believe he may have access to a 4x4 silver vehicle.
Inspector Kevin Harris said: “Local officers have been conducting enquiries within the Hawick area to trace Barry since he was reported missing.
“We are keen to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible and anyone who believes they have seen him since the early hours of this morning is asked to come forward.
“In addition, we would ask Barry to get in touch with friends, family or police and let us know you are safe and well.”
Anyone who has any information that may help with the search is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
