Maxton keeps cheque on baby unit

Eileen Smart, from Maxton 21, presents Shirley Syme and Sharon Jones, who work at Borders General Hospitals Special Baby Care Unit, with a �1,005 cheque.
The unit was Maxton 21s Charity for 2013. Last year a series of fundraisers were held, including Tom Veitchs Pennine Way walk. Other events included a coffee morning, plant sales, Scottish country dance, prize draw, table-top sale and carol singing.
Today, Monday we presented a cheque for �1005 to the staff of the unit.
Borders Holiday Group is Maxton 21s Charity for 2014.
