Jedburgh and Wallsend suspects held after pensioner robbed

A PENSIONER has been attacked and robbed in the centre of Jedburgh, writes Bob Burgess.

The 69-year-old man was treated in hospital for minor injuries following the incident at Abbey Bridge End.

It happened shortly before 7pm on Sunday and police confirmed that they had arrested two suspects.

A 51-year-old Jedburgh woman and a 43-year-old man from Wallsend are due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court today (Monday).
