Business Gateway failing to hit targets

Councillors will be warned today (Thursday) that the council’s reputation is at stake if its Business Gateway service continues to miss targets.

A report to SBC’s economic development group reveals that of 14 six-month performance targets set in September last year, just four had reached half the target and eight had not reached one-third by February 22.

The report states that if this continues’ then the council’s reputation with the business community and Government will be affected.

Efforts are being made by the Business Gateway team to increase engagement.
