Jedburgh Rotarians held their junior fly-fishing day at Hass Loch on Saturday.
Every youngster taking part caught a trout which they were allowed to take home.
Shaun Twite, of Borders Gunrooms, donated a £5 voucher as a prize for the youngster deemed to have achieved the most on the day.
Last year’s winner, Russell Turnbull, was there again and continued to help the less experienced. The prize was awarded to Alex Bispham –at nine years old one of the youngest. He managed to cast a good line out, hook a fish on his dry fly, played it all by himself, then his younger brother, Jamie, netted it for him.
Rotarians Ian Sanford and Ian Davis ran the day, while Matt Fleming brought lunch up to the bothy.
