Police are investigating two break-ins in the St Boswells area

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of machinery from a business unit in St Boswells.

Between 2pm on Monday, March 17 and 10am the next day a unit on Charlesfield Industrial Estate was broken into and a number of items of cleaning equipment stolen.

PC Phil Moule said: “We would urge anyone who remembers seeing suspicious activity in or around Charlesfield Industrial Estate on Monday or Tuesday to contact police immediately on 101, or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The incident is not being linked to a break-in at a home in the village’s Springfield Terrace between 7pm on Monday night and 2am on Tuesday morning.

A three figure sum of money, a watch and an iPhone were stolen.
