Bogies set to run riot in Denholm

The final tweaks are being made to bogies around the country ahead of the annual Border Bogie Challenge in Denholm.

This Saturday the race will see young and old take to the top of Dean Road to see who can get to the bottom quickest, powered only by gravity.

There is lot to keep people entertained on the day outwith the racing, with the May Fair and car boot sale also taking place in the centre of the village.

Any profit raised by the car boot sale will be shared between Children’s Hospice Association Scotland and Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide.

After three years of providing towing and back-up for the racing, the Reivers 4x4 Club have taken over the running of the race and have seen strong entry numbers once again, with 30 adult racers and 10 juniors.

Racing starts at 9.30am and runs throughout the day until around 5pm.
