Accountants hope to add £3,000 to charities

Local accountancy firm JRW are swapping their business suits for running kit. A team of nine are taking part in the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run on October 7.

Partner Alister Biggar said: “Most of the team are newcomers to running but have been training really hard for the event.

“We are running for charity in the Business Challenge category and proceeds will be split between the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and the Margaret Kerr Unit Appeal at the BGH.”

Team member Joanne Gibson said “We are proud to be able to raise funds for these fantastic local charities and support the wonderful work that they do in the Borders. We aim to raise a total of £3,000 and are off to a flying start.”

The JRW team will join thousands of runners on the 10km route which goes through the heart of historic Edinburgh
