Lauder Ball gets 2am licence

This Saturday’s Lauder Common Riding Ball has won a 2am licence, despite opposition from the police.

Scottish Borders Licensing Board ruled in favour of Kevin Crawford’s application at last Friday’s meeting. Police argued the one-hour extension should be rejected due to noise nuisance issues.
