Langlee pupils go to top of the class

Langlee Primary School P7s are top of the class in the Rotary Primary School Quiz this year, having beaten off stiff opposition from six other teams and emerged only one point ahead of their nearest rivals, St Peter’s. This is the first round of a quiz covering primary schools in the south of Scotland, from Cumbernauld to Newton Stewart to Eyemouth. The winners of this round go on to a Borders semi final in the spring, before the district final in May.

It is open to teams of four from P7 in schools in the local area, and this year, for the first time, Stow entered with two teams. Subjects covered include a wide range of topics from language, through maths to expressive arts, science and
technology.

The Rotary Club looks forward to even more local schools taking part next year.
