A garden shed was destroyed by an arson attack at the weekend.
The shed, at Orchard Park in Kelso, was set alight at around 3am on Saturday, September 24.
A nearby section of fencing was also damaged.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service investigators believe the fire was started on purpose and are now urging anyone with information on the culprits to come forward.
Inspector John Scott, of Kelso police station, said: “Wilful fireraising is a reckless act which risks the safety of nearby residents.
“It also uses vital emergency service resources which could be helping others.”
Potential witnesses are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
