Jim lands winner’s trophy

Anglers gathered at Ancrum Football Club. Thanks to Lothian Estates, Jedforest Angling Association, the Nisbet fishing syndicate and Mounthooly Fishings, they were able to fish both banks all the way from Timpendean down to Eckford road end on the river Teviot.

Other prizes went to – 1st Flyfisherman, Jonathan Barnes, who received a shield and a Shakespeare Agility fly rod donated by Pure Fishing Ltd; 2nd Flyfisherman, Billy Davidson, shield and flyline donated by Hardy Greys; 1st Bait Fisherman, Kenny Christie, spinning reel donated by BC Fishing.

The event raised nearly £150 which will be put towards the purchase of an emergency Aquabox unit for water purification in disaster zones.
