Borders milliner Yvette Jelfs is appealing for help to find her Jack Russell and one of his pups.

Yvette told The Southern: “I have a well-known and much-loved Jack Russell terrier called Badger who has fathered many puppies since I have lived in the Borders. We keep in touch with them all and many come to my work rooms to see Badger and run with him at Tweed Horzions.

“However, Badger has gone missing, along with one of his puppies, from the Eildon Hills area. We think they may have been down a hole, but the local hunt have been out in the area on two occasions to help look for them to no avail.

“All the local vets and animal shelters were informed straight after they went missing. The police and local council have also been informed. Badger is very friendly and kind and we are devastated he is missing. So many people have been kind enough to come and help look for them, but I wonder if any of your readers might have seen them?”

Badger has a orange and red collar with Yvette’s mobile phone number on it and Puppy has a red collar with a shell motif. A reward is being offered for the dogs’ safe recovery. Yvette can be contacted on 01835 822599.
