The hills – and the valley – of the Gala Water come alive to the sound of music from stage and screen on Sunday.
Gala Water Singers, the Borders’ newest community choir, ably guided by musical director Jim Letham, performs its first year finale with a programme bringing to life some of the 20th century’s musical greats.
Soloist Nancy Muir, of Selkirk Opera fame, will be a guest singer.
Tickets for the 7pm performance are available from the Stow shop or on the door – £7.50 per adult or £20 for three adults, with schoolchildren admitted free and refreshments included.
Gala Water Singers give a repeat performance at the Borders General Hospital Chaplaincy Centre on Sunday, June 10 at 6.30pm – entry by donation – in aid of the Margaret Kerr Palliative Care Unit Appeal.
