Frightened Rabbit return home

SELKIRK’s Frightened Rabbit will play a homecoming gig in Victoria Halls this autumn.

The September 25 date is the final performance of four being played by the quintet, along with shows in Manchester, London and Dumfries.

Tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow, with details available at frightenedrabbit.com

Meanwhile, the band, including Souters Scott and Grant Hutchison and Billy Kennedy, are to play Belladrum Festival near Inverness on Saturday, August 4.

The folk rockers were forced to apologise to Scottish fans last year after pulling out of the festival due to commitments with their summer tour of the United States alongside Death Cab For Cutie.

But they return in 2012 and will take to the Beauly stage, which will also see Travis, We Are Scientists, The Wombats, Willy Mason and Treacherous Orchestra, which includes Birgham’s Innes Watson in its line-up.

A new album is being recorded and the band are playing a series of alternative festivals in England this summer, such as Hop Farm in Kent, Truck in Oxfordshire and Y Not in the Peak District National Park.
