As a local businessman in Jedburgh, I, like many others, have been badly affected by the recent flood.
My barber’s shop is in a total mess and needs completely refitted before I can open for business.
The force of nature can often be against us, but I just want to commend the quick reponse from the emergency services and Scottish Borders Council in cleaning up the town. I would like to thank all the people who helped me clear the debris that Sunday, most especially Eric Wright, Paul Cranston, Libby Stewart and my family. Councillor Stewart has also been a big help to me.
