St Boswells Community Council has undergone big changes, with the retirement of five members, three of whom had served for more than 25 years each.

Outgoing chairperson Alison Reed is seen with (from left) David Dawson, Robin Wilde, Roy Lawrie, Alan Lorimer and the new chairman, Douglas Oliver. The retiring members were presented with book tokens as a gesture of thanks for their contribution to village life. Despite their departure from office, they offered assurances of their continued interest in St Boswells affairs and support for the work of the new committee.

A list of new members and office bearers is now posted on the village noticeboard, as are minutes of each meeting. These meetings, which take place on the last Thursday of every month, except July and December, are open to all local residents and provide a forum for discussion and information about matters affecting the village.
