It will be all change for voters in four Borders towns at this month’s European Union membership referendum.
Three of the polling stations used in Galashiels and Hawick will be different this time round and for all future elections, and two, in Peebles and Kelso, will change only for the EU vote.
Voters will be advised of those changes on their poll cards, but anyone still unsure about where to vote on Thursday, June 23, can call 01835 825005 for details.
Those who previously voted at Langlee Primary School in Galashiels will now do so at the town’s St John’s Church Hall, andGlendinning Terrace Primary School will be replaced by Galashiels Fifth Ward Community Centre.
Burnfoot Community Centre in Hawick is no longer in use, so voters there will have to go to Burnfoot Community Hub instead.
The two polling stations changing only for the EU referendum are the Chambers Institute in Peebles, being replaced by Peebles Community Centre, and Kelso’s Tait Hall in Kelso, being replaced by either Abbey Row Community Centre or the Border Ice Rink.
Voting takes place from 7am until 10pm.
The deadline for registering to vote expired on Tuesday, but anyone uncertain if they are eligible can call 01835 825100 to check.
