His appearance is sure to be a crowd-pleaser and he will be just one of the many highlights of the weekend.

Following a successful first year, Solas Festival, in the beautiful surroundings of Wiston Lodge, near Biggar, continues to showcase some of the best Scottish music, drama, literature and more.

As well as being a celebration of culture and debate, the festival is designed for families to enjoy together, running an intergenerational family-friendly programme wherever possible.

Alongside workshops, films and discussions, there are many musical acts performing over the duration of the weekend.
