Drop in recycling

Tory MSP John Lamont has expressed disappointment after new figures from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) have shown a drop in recycling rates in the Borders – 42.8% in 2012, down from 46.3% in 2011. Mr Lamont said: “Scottish Borders Council now needs to work with communities throughout the Borders to make recycling as easy and accessible as possible to try and get more household waste recycled.”
