Disability tennis is a smash hit

A tennis festival hosted by Borders Sport and Leisure at Teviotdale Leisure Centre in Hawick on May 26 gave pupils with a disability from Kelso, Hawick and Jedburgh the chance to try out the sport.

Working with coaches from local clubs, the children were given the opportunity to develop new skills.

Alan Oliver, Borders Sport and Leisure disability development officer, said: “There was great enjoyment and enthusiasm shown by the pupils throughout the morning.”
