IT HAS been a tough year for one of the British folk scene’s finest singers.

But now Judy Dinning, of Borders traditional band Real Time, is looking forward to her return to the stage after a long enforced absence.

Judy was was diagnosed with breast cancer in March last year, and has had two operations and full courses of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She was forced to put her musical career on hold, and Real Time have only played once in the past nine months.

Now that Judy has fully recovered, Real Time are organising a concert at Denholm Village Hall on Saturday, April 2, when Judy can thank her many friends in the Borders for their support and good wishes and raise some money for the Macmillan Nurses Appeal.

The concert starts at 8pm, and support on the night will be from local favourite Pat Douglas. Tickets are available from Denholm Post Office and Northport, Hawick, or by calling 01450 870664.
