HAWICK students are hoping to set up a Borders pump track league.
The high school’s cycling club is inviting all budding enthusiasts to a “have a go” tomorrow night at the town’s Old Baths.
The young cyclists hope it will be the first of many nights on the mobile track which features rollers and berms.
One of the organisers Keith Irving said: “It’s all about balance, control, fitness and riding ability.”
The evening will include practice followed by time trials over 10 laps and a pursuit race.
Mr Irving said: “I’m hoping to create a fun competitive environment for all abilities where riders or teams from all the towns and villages can challenge for the top of the leader board.”
The track can be moved from town to town and prizes would be offered. Tomorrow’s session runs from 6 till 9.30pm.
