Police hunt for Innerleithen home attackers

POLICE are searching for three men who entered an Innerleithen home and seriously assaulted a man last night.

The 47-year-old householder was attacked in his Montgomery Street property at around 11pm.

He was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital for treatment and later discharged.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Police said enquiries were continuing into the disturbance.

The three males are described as being aged between mid-20s and mid-30s and speaking with Glaswegian accents.
