POLICE probing the month-long disappearance of Peebles man Steven Hope have extended their enquiries into Aberdeen, Inverness and Tayside where he is known to have relatives and friends, writes Bob Burgess.
The 43-year-old was last seen in the Greenside area of Peebles around 9pm on Wednesday, August 24.
Initial enquiries centred on the town before broadening to Edinburgh and West Lothian where he also has relations.
Since his disappearing Mr Hope has not made contact with anyone and police say they are extremely concerned.
A spokesman commented: “Despite our enquiries, officers have yet to trace Mr Hope and would urge him to make contact with loved ones or with the police, to let us know he is safe and well.”
He’s described as stocky, around 5ft 10in, with green eyes and normally clean shaven.
And he two distinguishing marks – an eight inch skin graft on his right arm and a Celtic tattoo on his upper back.
