21-year-old jailed for breaching community payback order for Jedburgh assault
A 21-year-old man has been jailed for 101 days at Selkirk Sheriff Court for breaching a community payback order.
David Cotton had previously pleaded guilty to assaulting his brother John at a house in Jedburgh on February 10 last year.
He was also given a 90-day jail sentence for a breach of bail, to run concurrently.
In addition, Cotton, formerly of Wilton Crescent in Hawick, will be subject to a supervised release order for 50 days when he gets out of prison.
