At a recent ceremony at the Army Cadet Force, Jedburgh Detachment Cadet Colour Sergeant Jason Spence was presented with a Lord Lieutenant's Certificate having been selected as the Lord Lieutenant's Cadet for Roxburgh, Etterick and Lauderdale for 2011-12. His duties will include assisting the Lord Lieutenant at official events including the forthcoming Remembrance Day Parades and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012.''Jason is a member of Lothian and Borders Battalion Army Cadet Force and excels in shooting having recently been awarded his colours for this sport. He hopes to attend college to study mechanics and is considering the Army as a career option in this field.''At the Ceremony Rugby colours were awarded to Corporal Chris Mirk and a Youth First Aid Certificate was awarded to Cadet Adam Thompson.
