Cash for Kids just flowed in

We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who donated to, or took part in, Radio Borders’ Cash For Kids Day on March 30 and helped make it our most successful yet!

All money raised locally stays locally, with the cause this year’s being the children’s facilities in the accident and emergenciy department of the Borders General Hospital.

Activities ranged from car washes to dress-up days and, thanks to these efforts, we are delighted to announce that we raised a staggering £10,700.

This is going to make a real difference as we plan to refurbish the children’s play area in the waiting room and assist with equipment for the children’s training and treatment room in the department.

Radio Borders’ Cash for Kids awards grants to individuals or groups concerned with helping children up to and including the age of 18 who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged in the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. If anyone would like more information about Cash For Kids or would like to apply for a grant please visit www.radioborders.com/cashforkids or call the Radio Borders office on 01896 759444 during office hours.

Thank you again to everyone for their time and efforts.
