MOBILE speed cameras have been forced off the road due to the bad weather.
However, police are advising motorists that all fixed speed and red light cameras are still operational.
A spokesperson for Lothian and Borders Safety Camera Partnership urged drivers to take the utmost care when driving as many routes are heavily congested due to the adverse weather, adding: “We are repeating the advice to motorists to plan their journeys and anticipate delays. Motorists can consult the Traffic Scotland website at www.trafficscotland.org for more information.
“Drivers are advised to leave plenty of time for their journey, plan their route and to check that the roads on which they intend to travel are not subject to any problems.
“Drivers should also make sure they have warm clothing with them, a shovel in the boot and take sensible precautions.”
