Flourishing Peebles florist Emma McDonald will rub shoulders with a host of celebrities in March.

Back in November we reported that 23-year-old Emma – who launched her own business, Stems, just three years ago – had been named RBS Enterprise winner for Scotland at the Prince’s Youth Business Trust (PYBT) Celebrate Success Awards in Glasgow.

This week came the news that, out of 11 regional winners of that prestigious
accolade, Emma is on a shortlist of three to scoop the UK award.

It will be presented at a glittering ceremony in London’s Leicester Square Odeon on Thursday, March 12.

And that means she and husband Chris will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to the capital for the televised event, which will be hosted by Ant and Dec.

“These are huge awards, which celebrate exceptional young people with inspirational stories and one thing in common – the Princes Trust changed their lives for the better,” said Emma.

“I’m not contemplating winning as I think I would die on stage in front of such a huge crowd of well-known faces, but to get this far is pretty awesome.”

Before that red carpet date, Emma has been named as a finalist again in next month’s Scottish Wedding Awards in Glasgow, having won the title Scottish Florist of the Year at last year’s event.
