Printer shuts after 40 years

Kelso Graphics , The Knowes, Kelso which ceased trading on 1.2. 2013

AFTER 40 years, well-known printing firm, Kelso Graphics, has ceased trading.

The company, which had offices and a studio in The Knowes, was run by three business partners, being Clive Dibbern, and his wife, Marie-Claire, and Wayne Lawrence.

However, after four decades serving the Borders business community, a notice on the company website announced the business would close last Friday.

No reason was given, but there was an assurance that customers’ artwork was all safely archived and that Mr Lawrence, who is now based at Footeprint in Jedburgh, has access to these files.

The statement added: “We would like to thank each
and every one of our
customers for their loyal support over the years and wish you all the very best for the future.”

A family firm founded in 1973, it produced everything from books and stationery, to posters and calendars.
