Oregon Timber Frame’s new 18, 000 sq ft factory in Selkirk was officially opened by Michael Moore MP on Friday. Mr Moore, who had toured the factory with Oregon’s chairman Rod Lawson (pictured), said: “This represents a significant investment on Oregon’s part and I commend the company for continuing to build its business in the Borders.”

Mr Lawson added: “The new facility is a vital part of our plans and, together with our Burton factory, it represents a 50 per cent increase in our manufacturing potential. This also heralds the prospect of more jobs locally as we grow our customer base in England.”
