Katie Rose Whin-Cop and Arham Khan the winners of a competition to launch the new website of Melrose Primary School.

MELROSE Primary School is surfing the information technology highway, thanks to its new website.

The Huntly Road school unveiled the new site last Friday after parents worked on putting together the colourful online guide.

Pupils were also involved, with three competition winners – Katie Rose Whin-Cop, Arham Khan (both pictured left) and Freya Tullis – getting the pportunity to launch the new and improved site.

Headteacher Gilly Innes said: “We needed to up-date the website so a group of parents, with support from the parent council, worked on developing it.

“We now have an improved website with a lot of information which can be accessed quickly.

“It has proved so popular since the launch, and we have received really good feedback.

“Some of the parents were given tours of the website by primary seven pupils who acted as website guides, which was fantastic.

“The kids are really excited about it and the parents are positive as well.”

The new website address is www.melroseprimaryschool.org.uk
